Spaulding Clinical Research Innovation Leader Recognized at HIMSS13

March 15, 2013

March 15, 2013 – West Bend, Wisconsin, USA – Today, Spaulding Clinical Research, a change agent in the clinical research and medical device industries, announces that the company’s Innovation Leader, Brock Heinz, was among 15 award recipients of the Allscripts “Open App Challenge”, at HIMSS13 in New Orleans. More than 200 developers answered the call to “Start a Revolution” by creating innovative stand-alone applications that can integrate with Allscripts Open Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.

Using the company’s Spaulding webECGTM diagnostic 12-lead ECG Management Solution with the purpose-built Spaulding Electrocardiograph, Mr. Heinz seamlessly integrated the company’s cloud-based solution with the Allscripts Enterprise Electronic Health RecordTM (EHR). The integration allows the Spaulding webECG application to be launched directly from the Allscripts EHR user interface, improving physician office workflow.

Randy Spaulding, founder and CEO of Spaulding Clinical states, “Brock’s passion for innovation that breaks down the barriers between systems has created real value for our pharmaceutical clients and now he is focusing his efforts on the medical market to provide solutions that eliminate error and streamline healthcare workflow, while lowering cost. We applaud Allscripts for leading the effort in creating an open electronic health record, which will benefit everyone involved in healthcare.”

Allscripts will announce the final recipients at the Allscripts Client Experience (ACE) in Chicago, August 21-23, 2013.
